Maulana M. Yakub khan about twenty-five years of Editor Light, was elected President of the Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat-i-Islam, Lahore at the General Council Meeting of the Anjuman on last December 26th, 1953. At present Mr. M. Yakub Khan is Editor of The Civil and Military Gazette, Lahore. He is also the author of Golden Deeds of Islam and some other Islamic tracts.
Light congratulates Maulana Yakub Khan on his recent appointment and prays that Almighty Allah, our Beneficent and Merciful Creator, grants him continued health and strength to overcome the huge difficulties that must necessarily fall on his shoulders. Light also prays that Allah grant him time and opportunity to utilise his immense knowledge and wealth of experience in advancing the cause of Ishaat-i-Islam.
